I have heard people who met Elvis say he was lonely.
🙏🏼
🙏🏼
what a great story.
Yes, Chas has a great book out on the number system.
Gary Burr is my absolute all-time favorite Nashville songwriter. And this is one of my very favorite songs of his. Brilliant talent. Nice voice too.
We were dancing at parties and youth club in Jr High in Pasadena to Little Latin Lupe Lu in '62/''63. Bill and Bobby were badass R&B singers. Elvis don't dig no chumps!
So proud of you Rob its may of 2024 and i first met you in 2013 and your friendship and brother in CHRIST just means the world to me a true life long friend when you meet Rob.
One of my most favorite Righteous Brothers' songs.
I am commenting #BringBackDislikes on every unique RUclips video that I watch for the rest of 2024, regardless of if I actually dislike the video or not. This is video 1381.
"don't write 15 minute songs when the radio is playing 3 min songs"... *laughs in King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard*
I takim ludziom wierze, oni mowia prawde o Elvisie , prawdziwym Elvisie , a nie zaklamana, sprzedajna mafia i im podobni, i te jego ,, kobiety" pusciutkie !!!!! Elvis na zawsze , Elvis na wieki w sercach i pamieci !!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Very informative you are a pro!!!
Frank,Dean and Sammy loved each other the same way obviously E love Bill the same way Bill should have done the same to E ,E would have loved it
Just heard it now... wow! It really has a great vibe!
jeff, you are amazing. i love this song so much.
Who did people think Elvis was? God? well he wasn't. Elvis liked little teenage girls. Is anyone willing to understand that? the truth is he was a mess. I'm a 74 yr old woman and got sick and tired of hearing his voice over the radio or on tv. He was treated like a God. He was just a simple man. thats all.
Głupcy powtarzają plotki, a idioci im wierza !!!
You are amazing..... you could be a stand up comic too! Thank you for this.
Vicky Cayetano is a former First Lady of Hawaii and a very successful businesswoman. As a child, she acted next to Elvis in “it Happened at the World’s Fair.” I asked her about that experience and she recalled that one day she had been having a terrible time, remembering her lines. She kept on forgetting and messing them up. Apparently everyone on the set was getting kind of upset and she was just a little girl, so she began to get more and more nervous and almost started crying. So Elvis just stopped everything. “ little girl getting tired,” he said. And he took her to go get a hamburger and some fries and calmed her down. That’s a nice guy. I also met a couple of longtime Elvis fans from Hawaii who were just teenagers on vacation in Los Angeles, and went to see him in Beverly Hills. One of them was very scared, but the other one just walked up to the front door, rang the doorbell, just to see what would happen. They were invited in and Elvis entertained them and gave them a snack. Those were the days. of course Elvis gave his famous special here in Hawaii. Supposedly over 1 billion people around the world saw that, and this was 1973.
excellent! Thank you.
I pitch to MERF MUSIC Nashville. Anybody else have some stories about them?
Great Greatest Song! So much emotion!
Great story. Thank you Bill Medley!!
In “My Tears Ricochet,” Taylor sings he turned into his worst fears when he put money before the artist, which made him start his own label in the first place. Sad.
Obviously this numbering system is for the musical illiterate and for those that play only by ear. Why not just use a simple lead sheet. Or, learn to read and play music. The Nashville numbering system is tantamount to learning to type using one finger on each hand.
He s a master!
Wonderful story 👏👏👏
Other groups recorded it, but no one ever sang it like the Righteous Brothers did.
She looked more like dr booths secretary if anyone ever had dr booth for their therapist when they were raped. Before I ever heard of David sipel.
Does not look anything like amanda cardillo.
Looks a little like David sipel
Spirits are real, never weird
That last point about bad management deals had me wondering if he was thinking about David Bowie… Bowie was huge from 72-76, but his manager took his fortune. He was savvy in pursuing a collaboration with Nile Rodgers after a chance meeting in a bar (bypassing record company gatekeepers). His established iconography guaranteed people’s attention, but it was a new decade with a new aesthetic, and if the music didn’t connect it might have been a very different outcome for his career. He chose wisely knowing Nile had a proven track history of melodic hooks and pop sensibility that could rehabilitate his career. It stands as an example that maintaining your instinct for choosing the right people who can help you produce good work makes all the difference. It’s a matter of getting out there and finding them, trying things out and keeping an open mind.
One of my favorites by BD. Beautiful performance! I teared up.
Wow. I finally get it. Thank you for sharing this information!
Absolutely charming interview!
What a pretty name: Lupe Laguna! Movie star name.

SONG APROPRIATED FROM A AMERICAN NEGRO DUO HUGHEY AND DEWEY,IVE SEEN THE ALBUM AND HEARD IT.
The completely blacked out set and lighting and shadows almost makes this video unwatchable. Were they in the witness protection program when this was shot?
Great stuff David!
Thank you David! This is so helpful! 🙏

Legend
The band I was in The Dynamics, during the late sixties in Norfolk, Virginia, played this song. Great dance song for the teeny boppers at the time. To put a different twist, play it a little slower and in minors. Em, Am, Bm and throw in a Dm where needed.
Stop trying to get over by stealing. If you go to prison, you caused it.
How sweet is this? I love how Bill kinda saved face by saying “I don’t know who that guy is but he’s starting to pi** me off 🤣🤣
bad sound from music people.haha.
